And then came Grandpa...

Wouldn't you know it?
The day after my Mom leaves, my Father-in-law visits to meet his new granddaughter.

I don't mind. Vincent loves seeing his Grandpa.
You should have seen how excited he was when we picked him up!

We went to lunch first so he and Vincent could spend some time together.
Afterwards, Vince introduced his Granddad to his Baby Sister.
As expected, Kevin was overjoyed.

After spending some time at our apartment, Vince and I took Grandpa to his hotel room at the University Guest House.

The Guest House is the perfect place for anyone visiting us.
It's clean, comfortable and you can walk to our place from there.
It's top notch!

Vince is such a goof in hotel rooms.
He loves jumping on the beds and exploring every corner.

He was acting so cute, I couldn't keep myself from taking pictures.

Dad's got a great view of downtown SLC, the TRAX line and the Golf Course.

On Wednesday the 22nd, Kevin's mother (Great-Grandma) is going to visit us as well. I'm glad that she wants to meet her new great-grandchild.

It's bound to be one heck of a fun week.

Oh, did I mention that my Fall Semester has started as well?

More Pictures from Abuelita's Visit

Well, Mom has gone back to California.
It was a wonderful trip. And while I was unable to capture every moment in a picture, the few days I did shoot turned out great.

Take a look....

Here's Baby Girl enjoying all the attention from both her Grandmas.

But don't take my word for it.... ;-)

Later that day we all went out for lunch at Vincent's favorite restaurant, Sweet Tomatoes.

Amy did pretty good for her first outing. All it took was a little creative rotating on Lisa and my part.

Not a problem!

After lunch, we all took a trip to Babies R' Us for some last minute supplies.

Mom did her best to watch after Vincent...

But it wasn't too long before Vince had her misbehaving!

On Monday, Abuelita, Vincent and I took the train downtown to visit the children's museum.

Vince loves the children's museum.
His Grandfather Kevin bought him a year-long pass, so we go there often.

Vince loves the Ball Beehive...

...and the Water Table.

But he loves dressing up like a Firefighter.
(Wouldn't you know it. He gets interested after I leave the FD.)

After the museum, we went to the Olympic fountain to enjoy the sunshine.

I think Mom and Vincent really enjoyed each others company. He was always very affectionate, asking for her all the time.

Of course, a little ice cream always helps to seal the deal!

When we finally went home, we were exhausted and happy.
I was very proud to see Mom moving around and keeping up with Vince.

She's come a long way since booting cancer in the ass.
Way to go, Mom!

On our last day, we kicked back and let Mom recover from her whirlwind tour of Big Salty.

Here she is, using her sure-fire hiccup cure on Amy.
No, it didn't work. But I'm sure it was probably my fault.

Incidentally, I made an incredible discovery about Mom when we went to Gateway Center...

If you wear these out with your Mom...

She will get you these!

It's a no-brainer!

Thanks for visiting, Abuelita. We'll miss you!

And Along Came Abuelita....

After battling cancer and chemotherapy, my Mother has finally recuperated enough to come and visit! Kimosabe and I picked her up yesterday afternoon when she flew in. Vincent was soooo excited to go to the Airport.

Mom and our reunion got a little mixed up thanks to the crowds at SLC. It turns out she was wheeled right past us while we waited by the passenger exit. When I started to get worried, Vince and I took a tour of the baggage carousels and we found her waiting for her suitcase.

After that it was smooth sailing.
She'll be here for a week. I'll be sure to snap plenty of pictures.

Vincent behaved beautifully at the Airport. I was so proud.

Here's the proud Abuelita with her nietos. Words can't describe how happy she was to see Vince and Amy. It's going to be a great visit.

More Amy Adventures!

You know, I can't ever take enough pictures of my kids.
Here are some shots of Baby Girl, enjoying some open-eyed snuggle time with Mommy.

I love this picture!

Well, she mostly enjoyed snuggle time.

Since coming home from the hospital, Amelia's become much more animated. She coos, she chuckles and she's making incredible eye contact.

Only a few days old and she's growing before our eyes.

Here's a great pic of Amy's water torture...er...first bath.

As you can see, she loves it!

Yep, I'm embarrassing her early!
